Cuisine

At Pinewood, we place great emphasis on maintaining a high standard of traditional and nutritious cuisine with good choice and variety. We have designed a five week rotating menu which avoids repetition and provides residents with an alternative for each course.

Set meal times provide an opportunity for residents to meet up and socialise in the communal dining room if they so wish. Alternatively, residents can opt to eat their meals in their rooms. Meals can, nevertheless, be taken any time of the day that a resident wishes. Friends and relatives are encouraged to eat at the Home.

Our residents receive a regular supply of fresh fruits of their preference.

Activities

Our residents are encouraged to express themselves artistically and creatively, individually and collectively, according to their preferences. There is a formal recreation programme set up, including music and exercise sessions, arts and crafts, singing and musical events. The Home has its own minibus which is used for regular outings with the residents.

There are regular visits made to the home by local vicars and priests and there is a monthly communion service in the lounge. Arrangements can be made for leaders of other religious denominations to visit the home if required.

Other Services

Our fully inclusive terms include personal laundry, meals and refreshments at any time of the day or night.
