Personal Care

It has always been our main priority to provide considerate and personal care to enhance the dignity, privacy and independence of our residents. We aim to provide a carefree lifestyle away from the burdens of household management.

Our staff are recruited on the basis of their caring nature and they aim to know residents and their relatives personally, providing continuity of care.

We fully embrace the idea that relatives or friends are part of the caring process and encourage visits at any time of the day or night. A telephone system operates throughout the building, allowing contact with relatives or friends. Residents can also use their telephones to contact the kitchen, care staff or other residents, should they wish. A call bell system is available if residents cannot use the phone.

Each resident has a care plan which aims to maximise social, physical and intellectual capacity.

It is part of our duty to cater for all special needs of the elderly such as dietary, mobility, hearing or sight problems. Other needs of the residents such as ethnic and/or religious needs will be considered as and when possible.

We are well supported by doctors in our area. We also have the services of a visiting hairdresser and chiropodists, and we have our own in-house physiotherapist.
